This morning my first ferret 'Pixie' past away. I cuddled her in a towel and kept her warn and snuggly until she passed. Yesterday she wanted to play and run around but she just kept falling over so I put her in a cage and kept my eye on her and this morning she gave the look like 'mom it is time'. Istayed home from work and cuddled her until she passed 2 hours later in her sleep. She was spunky till the end. She would have been 6 years old.

My heart is full of your sorrow at Pixie's passing. I've lost many in the 15 years I've been owned by ferrets, and each passing is as hard as the last. We love them so much. But I know that the Lord loves them too and what a wonderful sense of humor he must have to have created them. I know they have spirits because they live and that they will be there waiting for us when we return to Our Father in Heaven as well, and this gives me comfort when they pass away. May it offer you some comfort as well.
