Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all. I am lookiing forward to a fun year with all my yahoo groupies and all the KALs we will all be doing together. And a BIG thank you to all the Moderators supervising the groups and giving us all the great dish cloth patterns to knit.

Kris Kringle Exchange from Yvonne

This is my exchange from my partner in Dish cloth haven group. My partner was Yvonne. She gave me the best gifts. I just love the two TY beanies 'Ginger bread man, and Rudolph tree orderments. The cloth was so very pretty and I love the pattern.

I have already picked out the patterns to knit using the cotton yarn she gave me.

Love 2 knit fall exchange gift

This was a exchange gift given to me by my partner from the group Love2knitdishcloths. The exchange was a knitted food item, and she knitted me a sushi dinner. This is the most imaginative gift yet and I love it. She also gave me some yummy teas, a ball band dishcloth, 2 writing pens, a 2 year kitty calendar, 2 skeins of 'sugar'n cream stripes, and some very nice bamboo circular needles. I love everything I got from her. I am fighting a vicious cold right now and this really cheered me up today when I finally got to open it. October 1st was opening day. Thank you very much April.

SWS Roll brim hat

This Roll Brim hat was done with Patons SWS wool yarn. It came out a little tight, I should have used bigger needles but I was new to knitting and didn' keep in mind about gauge. I fot this pattern from the knitting book 'knit hats' by Gwen Steege.

It's Tea Time

Another wonderful cloth from Rachel. I made this for my 'Tea Time' partner in the Tea Time knitters yahoo group.

I LOVE FERRETS

I asked my Rachel's knitting yahoo group moderator 'Ms Rachel' if she could design me a "I love ferrets" dish cloth and she came through for me. Thanks again Rachel.

blue ribbon hat

with a little help I finally got this photo uploaded. This is a roll brim hat I knitted and felted last year and entered it into the county fair and as you can see I got a blue ribbon for it. I still need to make one for my sister.

Lamb's Pride

I used Lambs Pride on this purse. The pattern is very simple to understand. I learned it at the LYS in a class I took.

It's county Fair time

This cloth is from knitdishcloths group on yahoo. I entered it into the county fair and won 2nd place on it. The funny thing of it was that when they displayed it in a case it was upside down the whole time. I really thought I would win a ribbon with this cloth. It is a whale and the waves above him. I did two of these cloths at the same time on circulars. I love this pattern, especially since it won me a red ribbon.

August Kal I call it 'Flipper'

This is a KAL just finished from 'monthlydishclothgroup' on yahoo. I call it 'Flipper'.

Peanut and Penny

Here are my two new babies. Peanut is the light colored (blaze), and Penny is the dark (sable) one. Penny I am pretty sure is the runt of the litter because she is sooo tinny.

Meet my Babies

I must show off my babies. Pixie, Pan, Pablo, and Pan. I as you can tell love ferrets. I have a total of six. This is a photo of 4. I have two new babies that are 8 and 9 weeks old and kept separate from the older ones to keep from being bullied.

My DIY knitting project for my DIY partner

This is a cloth I did for my partner in love2knit group. She sent the yarn and needles and I knitted this for her. I love this pattern. The pattern is called Lily.

Welcome to 'Crazy about Knitting and Ferrets

I welcome you to my very first blog. So please bare with me as I get started with this. I am sure I have alot to learn with having a blog.
My name is Michele and I have been knitting for about a year and a half. I love to knit and felt purse, knit dish cloths, and I am attemting my second pair of fingerless gloves. I have made a felted roll brim hat that came out great.

I am also a lover of ferrets. I am owned by 6. I added 2 more to the family in the last week that are 8 and 9 weeks old. Their names or in order of age: Pixie, Pan, Pablo, Pedro, Peanut, and Penny. They are most definately a handfull. But I love them way to much to ever get angry with them when I forget to put up my knitting and they get a hold of my clover needles and chew them up.

I have been married for going on 19 years with no human children. I also have 5 cats, 1 dog, and 1 rat (don't ask).

We are living in the county of Kansas and today I watched a rooster Pheasant run around in a wheat field just across the road from me. And I saved a ground squirrel from my cat and took it back to the hole it came out of. And the mocking birds are back for a third year to drive me crazy with its calls of many different sounding birds they can do, (all day).

My garden is planted and I have put in the ground 4 tomato plants, 2 bell peppers, 2 cucumbers, 1 zucchini, and 1 canalope. Now I am hoping for a good year for it. Here in the western part of Kansas it will get up to the 100's and the wind blow, and blows. Sucking the life out of everything. And rain is sparse at times here as well.

I work in corrections for a all male medium facility in Colorado. I have been the recreation supervisor for about 6 years and in all I have worked there for 8 1/2 years. Not a bad job. It's like working in a preschool for adualt men, (trust).

I hope you like my blog and leave good feed back to let me know. Share your blogs with me.
